What a great day for team FFKR Sportsbaseonline. Hell of the North 2009 proved up to
it’s name, cold, snowy, windy and muddy. Team FFKR went the race to tame the beast
and taming they did. Phil Wood got away on a break of 3 and never looked back in the
Men’s Cat 1,2. Phil had some great help fro Billy Allen in keeping the pack off his back
and when Billy flatted out John McDaniel was right there to take over and charge ahead
coming in a strong 4th (What a great sprint!) But the day was not over Ali Goulet taught
the Cat 3’s a lessen in tough sprints. Ali and TJ Eisenhart started off to see how much
pressure they could put on the other teams and they made them suffer. Ali got away in a
group of 6 as TJ chased down the attackers. Hard riding and superb bike handling gave
Ali a 1st place finish in what will be his last Cat 3 race. He got his upgrade and is now a
Cat 2. But still there is more. Ken Louder took off from the very start and finish so far
ahead of all the rest of the Master Men 55+ that at first you would have thought they all
just quit and went home. In the Master Men 45+ Lorin Ronnow fought hard and took 10th
place. Good work guys and the team just keeps getting stronger.
